A 3 decades-long connection to a family site in Tel-Aviv’s Ramat Hahayal neighborhood, demanded an equally remarkable home; a design that balances intimacy with entertaining.
Interplay with the outdoors is a continuing theme throughout the home. A formal living room opens onto a private garden. In addition to the 3-meter-high floor-to-ceiling glass partitions, a skylight overhead ensures the kitchen and living room are flooded with light.
A concrete wall clad around the garage, extends from the house and onto the front garden. With all these views looking outward, the interior palette has been kept largely monochromatic. The bleached oak veneer carpentry elements subtly suggest the theme of texture and craftsmanship. A sense of homely comfort was achieved by carefully considering the textural palette, and opting for moody finishes that create intimacy; ideal for what is a refined, yet highly functional family home.
