Housed within a historic former bank in the heart of Bucharest, this ambitious project transforms a landmark building into a five-star Sofitel hotel. The design respects the classical architecture while introducing a refined contemporary language, celebrating both heritage and modernity. Every element—from the restored stone façades to the intricate ironwork—has been thoughtfully integrated into a luxurious hospitality experience.
The hotel features over 200 rooms and suites, complemented by opulent public spaces including two signature chef restaurants, an atrium lobby, and elegant lounges. Each area is curated to offer a distinctive ambiance, blending French elegance with local character through custom furnishings, curated art, and sophisticated lighting.
In addition to its guest amenities, the property includes grand ballrooms, state-of-the-art conference facilities, and a tranquil spa and wellness center. The design approach emphasizes comfort, beauty, and functionality, redefining the hospitality experience in Bucharest while honoring the building’s storied past.
